At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission). This position is based in Mattoon, IL or Effingham, IL.
The Card Solutions Representative provides operational support for debit card services and ATM management. Key duties include cardholder setup and maintenance, assisting branches with Quick Issue cards and printer issues, monitoring ATM performance, reviewing ATM deposits, and identifying potential fraud. The role also involves processing card limit requests, escalating issues, and supporting cross-functional tasks within the department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sets up new card customers and reviews existing cardholders at card expiration date.
- General card maintenance on all card bins.
- Supports branches with Quick Issue card questions.
- Verify all vendor cards.
- Reviews daily Quick Issue batches from branches with printers.
- Supporting branches with quick issue printer issues and coordinating vendor resolution.
- Assists branches with ATM faults and resolutions.
- Monitors ATM software and ATM email support box for downtime and open service calls as needed.
- Reviews all ATM check deposits and places holds when necessary.
- Monitors Fraud reports and CAMS alerts to identify fraud.
- Uncover brute force attacks by reviewing card reports that detect unusual activity.
- Reviews Debit Card Limit increases submitted in Director Unity.
- Escalates questions or problems to the Assistant Manager.
- Cross trained on all functions in the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- 1-2 years banking experience is required
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel)
- PDF editing
- Core experience preferred

- High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and potential customers in a professional and organized manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with web-based platforms and applications.
