Risk and Identity Solutions team within VAS (Value added Services) organization is looking for a curious, enthusiastic, empathetic, technical leader to help our engineering teambe the best they can be, solve problems, execute on ideas, advocate for the customer, and contribute to a team culture built on trust and mutual respect. As a Sr Manager,you will set the vision and strategy for the application development team - ensuring that our solutions are flexible, performant, resilient and provides our customers with the best possible experience. This role is a managerial and hands-on technology role.

Essential Functions

• Consistently develops very strong, sustainable relationships with team, peers, business partners and executive decision makers

• Design, code, unit test, document, and implement new solutions as well as existing applications

• Contribute to enhancements and changes to existing B2B applications codebase

• Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices

• Coding must adhere to all standards for security, be easily maintainable, and have high system performance

• Collaborate with Development & QA staff on individual and team deliverables

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization

• Create documentation and procedures for deployments and maintenance

• Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices, and development methodologies

• Work closely with project team and other groups (e.g. Network, QA, Ops, Engineering)

• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate, to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards

• Interact with business units to define requirements/modifications and use case to utilize in designing appropriate solutions

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

* 8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

* 5+ years of experience in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited to Java, JavaScript, etc....

* 5+ years of experience with source control, build and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GIT, Ansible

* Proficient in implementing design patterns and hands on knowledge of Spring, SQL, MongoDB or similar

* Experience with web service standards and related patterns (REST, JSON)

* Experience developing large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low latency, & strong data consistency computing

* Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies

* Demonstrate knowledge and experience in software engineering best practices and the ability to influence the team to adopt the practices

* Demonstrate the ability in inspiring, motivating, growing the team to achieve high team engagement, efficiency, and quality

* In-depth understanding of agile principles, demonstrating expertise in running agile teams in an enterprise setting

* Strong communication skills, be able to influence executive teams and other organizations on decisions, and proven collaboration skills with other groups

* Be data driven, understand the need for and applying analytics

* Self-motivated with strong drive for excellence

* Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, particularly a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally

* Experience working on consumer facing product collaborating with multiple teams that have different development models, release cycles, and developer needs

* Experience developing highly available and scalable, REST based webservices

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 135,300.00 to 196,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
