Performs skilled library duties at the paraprofessional level requiring an understanding of library-wide practices and procedures as well as a specialized knowledge of a specific library functional area. Assists with searching and enriching metadata records of various formats in OCLC and the integrated library system. Creates metadata and manages the day-to-day functions of the library's digitization projects for the Creighton Institutional Repository. Manages, maintains, and administers the School of Law archives and makes decisions that ensure their appropriate acquisition, organization, and treatment. Assists library patrons at a service desk as scheduled. Trains and supervises student employees.



  • Creates metadata and manages the day-to-day functions of the library's digitization projects for the Creighton Institutional Repository with the direction of the Senior Librarian.
  • Assists with searching and enriching metadata records of various formats in OCLC and the integrated library system.
  • Manages, maintains, and administers the School of Law archives and makes decisions that ensure their appropriate acquisition, organization, and treatment.
  • Trains and supervises student employees on tasks related to digitization projects.
  • Staffs a Service Desk as scheduled to assist library patrons.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years library experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills with an automated library system and computer technology skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and manipulation and Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage or oversee several diverse tasks concurrently.
