From your PASSION to ours

This role is responsible for supporting plant production initiatives through equipment layout planning, process optimization, and project execution. The position will work cross-functionally to improve operations and enable facility upgrades in alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency goals. This is a PAID internship for the summer!

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Lead or assist in the collection and analysis of equipment specifications, capacities, and layouts to support operational improvements.

* Evaluate and propose equipment relocation or reconfiguration plans to accommodate facility changes or new technology implementation.

* Collaborate with plant teams to review and validate proposed layouts and process improvements.

* Develop scope of work documents, equipment specification sheets, and procurement needs for new or relocated machinery (e.g., processing equipment, packaging lines, conveying systems, quality control devices, etc.).

* Identify and implement best practices in production, safety, and efficiency across all plant operations.

* Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the facility.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment at all times.

* Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of plant operations and long-term business needs.

Education

* Ideal candidate will be in pursit of a Bachelors or Master's Degree. Engineering focus favored.

Experience

* Ideal candidate will have the following traits: open-mindedness, capacity or understand/analyze data and make fact-based recommendations, creativity, productivity, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as in teams.

* Some practical experience through educational projects, prior internships, or professional experiences desired.

Skills/Abilities

* Strong analytical skills: need to be proficient in Excel and analysis in general.

* Concern for accuracy- must be very detail oriented.

* Open-minded, capacity to understand/analyze/ react.
