Position Overview The Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities invites applications for Industry Inclusion Fellow positions. This position is dedicated to support new curriculum development and community outreach by distinguished fellows working on issues related to strategic communication and journalism, and enhance the inclusion of industry experts to support classroom and school-wide professional development efforts related to diversity and inclusion.
This is a part-time instructional position during fall semester 2025 (8/25/2025 to 1/7/2026) or spring semester 2026 (1/8/2026-5/24/2026) or both. The appointment will be made at the rank of teaching specialist, consistent with University policy. This position may be renewed, subject to satisfactory performance and available funding. Equivalency Statement: Substantial demonstrated and successful professional experience in journalism, strategic communication/advertising, or public relations may be substituted for the B.A. degree. Substantial demonstrated and successful professional experience may be demonstrated by both of the following: (A) twelve (12) or more years of successful professional experience in journalism, strategic communication/advertising, or public relations; (B) evaluation by a faculty committee that the professional achievement of the candidate constitutes equivalency with the required qualifications. Pay Range: $2500.00 - $3000.00 per semester; depending on education/qualifications/experience. Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications. Learn more about retirement plans.
