Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Construction Operations Analyst to drive performance and efficiency across national and divisional construction teams. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, systems-savvy professional with a background in residential construction operations, cost tracking, and jobsite performance improvement.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of quality control and construction safety systems, and experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, BuildPro, and JD Edwards (E1). This individual will work directly with national purchasing teams and construction leaders to analyze data, standardize processes, and deliver insights that directly impact field execution and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Operations Support

    Partner with national and divisional construction teams to support project scheduling, process improvements, and build cycle management.
  • Work directly with national purchasing teams to align procurement strategies with construction operations, ensuring cost efficiency and material availability.
  • Assist in tracking trade performance, resource utilization, and estimating accuracy across core product lines.
  • Help coordinate the rollout of plan updates and construction documentation to ensure job readiness and consistency across markets.

System Optimization & Data Analysis

  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards in Power BI and Excel to track KPIs related to construction progress, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Support the integration and use of construction software platforms including BuildPro and JD Edwards E1.
  • Audit and analyze takeoff data, material usage, and labor allocation to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.

Quality Control & Safety Insight

  • Leverage knowledge of quality control systems to support jobsite inspections, construction standards, and field team coaching initiatives.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing safety metrics, incident trends, and compliance with corporate safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with safety and QA/QC leadership to implement best practices across divisions.

Cost Management & Estimating

  • Analyze unit costs, vendor bids, and procurement practices to support budget accuracy and cost savings.
  • Support unbundling initiatives and takeoff strategies that improve visibility into material and labor components.
  • Assist in developing tools and templates to improve estimating consistency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in residential construction operations, estimating, or construction analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of BuildPro, JD Edwards E1, and field-based construction processes.
  • Understanding of jobsite safety protocols, OSHA standards, and quality assurance/control programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to division offices and construction sites as needed; open to relocation.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $80,000-$100,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
