Job Summary

Juniper Networks is seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Senior Director, ASIC, to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of next-generation networking ASICs. This role will drive innovation in high-performance, low-power logic design for Juniper's custom silicon platforms, enabling industry-leading routing, switching, and security solutions using latest process, packaging and signaling technologies.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage a world-class team of logic and RTL designers
  • Define and drive the architecture and microarchitecture of complex ASICs for networking applications.
  • Collaborate with system architects, verification, physical design, software, and product teams to deliver high-quality silicon.
  • Oversee design execution from concept through tape-out, ensuring performance, power, and area targets are met with extreme high quality.
  • Champion best practices in design methodology, automation, and reuse.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies such as HBM, chiplets, and advanced packaging (e.g., SiP, CoWoS).
  • Represent Juniper in technical forums, customer presentations.
  • Contribute to silicon strategy and roadmap planning.


Minimum Qualifications



  • BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in ASIC logic design, architecture development with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high-speed designs in advanced process nodes (e.g., 5nm, 3nm) with high quality
  • Deep expertise in RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, and power optimization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Familiarity with networking protocols, packet processing, and memory architectures is strongly desired.
  • Experience of delivering first time right production worthy ASICs is a big plus.



Minimum Salary: $264,800.00

Maximum Salary:$380,650.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $264,800.00 and $380,650.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
