Job Description

Responsible for all phases of overall project execution, including development of project scope, schedule, budget, and capital forecasts. Responsible for engineering design phase, execution of construction phase, pre-startup safety review (PSSR), and start-up of growth capital and/or operations derived projects. Responsible for helping Energy Transfer meet its commercially driven growth objectives through execution of the following duties: Implementation of entire project cycle for growth capital projects including scope and design development, work breakdown structure (WBS) preparation and submittals, request for quotation (RFQ) development and procurement of materials and services, project execution, construction oversight, and project completion/close out. Management of multiple medium sized projects or a reasonable number of large and significantly complex projects / capital programs. Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and associated resources for large and significantly complex projects. Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding deliverables project status, and project finances. Develop and maintain expertise in the application of engineering principles; remain current on changes in industry best practices. Assure design specifications conform to the latest national and local codes, rules, regulations, and generally accepted good engineering practices. Function as needed as a quality inspector or define quality requirements in implementation of engineering designs and projects. Conduct surveys to gather field data. Assist in the identification, development, assignment, and prioritization of project elements. Improve and enhance planning techniques and standards through the application of subject matter expertise and knowledge. Support company safety programs and initiatives by following Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Operations procedures and adhering to established engineering design standards. Monitor budget and reports on variances. Act as a technical resource for engineers with less experience and may provide guidance or direction to those personnel that are working on technically complex projects. Communicate with company operations personnel and contractors to assure successful project implementation.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent.

Experience Required:



  • 5 years' combined experience in engineering, operations, or project management and execution.
  • 5 years inclusive experience in design and construction of Midstream assets including pipelines, gathering compression or liquids facilities, inter/intrastate compression or liquids facilities, and processing facilities
  • 5 years inclusive experience with SAP, and Engineering Programs such as Autodesk.


Special Requirements: Domestic travel: 25% domestic travel to project sites required.
