Clinical Nurse, ICU

Your role with us

As a nurse in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you'll care for a highly critical and diverse patient population, including level 2 trauma, neuro, medical, and surgical cases. You'll work within a multidisciplinary care delivery model with a strong focus on sepsis management. This role offers you the opportunity to grow professionally through specialized credentialing in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Intracranial Pressure Monitoring, and Targeted Temperature Management. You'll be part of an award-winning team known for its collaborative and supportive culture. Our ICU has earned the prestigious Beacon Award for Excellence four times, an Oregon first and has also been recognized by the Department of Health and Human Services for Sustained Improvement in Eliminating Hospital-Acquired Infections.

What you'll do

• Perform accurate, ongoing, and relevant assessments for each assigned patient.
• Deliver patient care competently in alignment with individualized care plans.
• Plan and coordinate patient transfers or discharges to the appropriate level of care.
• Collaborate proactively with the healthcare team and patient families.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses clearly and accurately.
• Anticipate patient needs and communicate effectively with team members.

Required qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing, or non-nursing bachelor's degree with a Master of Science in nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or graduate of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply; ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire
• One year of nursing experience required.
• Unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon, required one week prior to hire date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
