The College of Aviation at the Prescott, Arizona campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Safety Sciences. This position is in support of our undergraduate students completing specified electives and minors in the subject of aviation safety.

The selected candidate will be expected to develop instructional content and teach one to two in-person course(s) from the course titles of 1) Introduction to Aerospace Safety, 2) Human Factors in Aviation Safety, or 3) Safety Program Management. Adjunct faculty also assess the performance of their students. The course(s) will be offered in the fall and spring academic semesters, beginning in Fall 2025.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have at least a Master's degree in Safety Science, Aviation, Aeronautics, or a closely related discipline. A PhD in a related discipline and teaching experience are strongly preferred; aviationindustry experience and FAA certifications are also desired.
