Requisition ID req33531 Working Title Program Specialist Position Grade 12 Position Summary The School of Medicine Research Education Office (SOMREO) is focused on providing comprehensive training in both clinical sciences and basic biomedical science disciplines. SOMREO is comprised of programs that provide students with an integrated and cohesive training experience in Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP), MD/PhD Dual Degree Program, Postdoc Affairs (PDA), and Undergraduate Pipeline Network (UPN), allowing students to participate in activities common to their programs while obtaining their degrees. SOMREO is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, goal-driven professional to join our team as a Program Specialist. The Program Specialist will provide lead support to assigned programs and work directly with program directors, to ensure the success of SOMREO students. In addition, they will work closely with SOMREO staff and leadership to support, in various ways, all SOMREO programs and funding opportunities. To excel in this position, the selected candidate will be self-motivated and poses strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. They should demonstrate previous project management experience, following-upon tasks, and communicating with all levels of faculty/staff and leadership. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
