The Activities Assistant will work independently and in connection with the Lifestyle/Activities Manager to create, organize and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events in an effort to engage and update residents. This is not limited to and includes other duties as assigned.
- Source outings for residents.
- Schedule breakfast & lunch outings that will accept reservations, accommodate individual checks, and are easily handicapped accessible.
- Make reservations as soon as possible, or when the monthly calendar is approved.
- Confirm reservations prior to date of outing.
- Maintain monthly activity calendar and update each month
- Contribute ideas / articles to monthly newsletter
- Attend and assist with offsite outings
- Display Boards/Postings:
- Maintain bulletin boards, including updating monthly with calendars, incorporating change notices, and decorating boards
- Select weekly movie and create poster using template; post
- Create and post change signs as needed
- Attention to work environment not limited to cleanliness of building common rooms used, by activities, may include cleaning of floors, removal of trash to include the areas of and not limited to Country Store, Community Room, Private Dining Room, Bistro, Cafe, outside patio, Activity Center and Lifestyle/Activities office

- Inform manager what needs to be purchased.
- You may be asked to purchase these items.
- Put price on items if needed.
- Advise manager if price sheets need updating or updates on own.
- Events, Speakers, Voting, etc.
- Assist with staffing events, set-up, tear down, clean-up; schedule volunteer help at events
- Trackcorporate event donations/collections.
- Work alone or with the manager by posting at least two times a day to Facebook.
- Drive the Forest Ridge bus to either cover for driver's PTO or other pre-planned activities.
- Bring ideas and creativity to the position in all forms.
- Post to Facebook 2x per week with the manager or independently. This will have manager's approval.
Part Time, $18.00 Per hour
Schedule will include 20 hours per week, which may result in additional hours due to resident outings and departmental needs.
Monday - Tuesday 2 - 4 hours total (each or either day)
Wednesday & Friday 10:30am - 4:30pm(6 hours per day)
Thursday 12:30pm - 4:30pm (4 hours)
Occasional evenings as need for special events. No holidays.
