DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Social Worker 1, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive array of professional social work services and interventions tailored to individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis. You will work with identified age-specific subgroups including early adulthood, middle-aged adults, and senior adults. You will also provide case management, implement treatment plans, and monitor consumer progress towards treatment goals. This role requires tailoring treatment accordingly to each consumer by recognizing how the aging process, life stage, and cultural diversity factor into administering the appropriate service. In addition, you will attend treatment team meetings and commitment hearings, ensure regulatory compliance with treatment plans, and communicate with hospitals, consumers, county liaisons, and community providers in order to promote and facilitate continuity of care. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in social work or social welfare.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
