Auria is looking to hire a Human Resources Intern at our corporate office in Colorado Springs, CO. The Intern will be responsible for delivering assistance and administrative support on various tasks. This position is ideal for a student or recent college grad who is interested in learning the ins and outs of human resources. You will work hand-in-hand with our Human Resources Team to gain an intimate understanding of each position, what role each team member plays and how it impacts our business. You will have the chance to interact directly with candidates and practice skills that are highly sought after in new college graduates. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: Foster positive and productive business relationships with those involved in the recruiting process, including the HR team, hiring managers, candidates, and new employees. Assist HR with general HR data entry, tracking, safety & workers compensation, leave management, I-9 compliance and benefits. Provide general administrative assistance, as required to include memos, forms, reports, etc. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Conducts reference checks to collect and evaluate information concerning previous employment. Provides support for activities relating to benefits, the new hire and termination process. Participate and assist in HR projects. Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects. Other duties as assigned. WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES: Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (June, July, and August). Will have a positive "ownership" attitude. Flexibility in adapting to rapidly changing priorities. Impeccable analytical and organizational skills. Self-motivated and self-directed. Excellent phone and in person relationship-building skills. Candidate must be comfortable speaking with potential candidates, employees and other organizations. Proficiency in MS Windows and the Internet required. Proficiency in MS Office Suite with an emphasis in MS Word, Excel and Publisher. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must demonstrate continuous poise, tact and diplomacy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). High School Diploma. Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources and/or business related studies.
