Job Summary

The Indirect Loan Specialist is responsible for gathering information through systems and processes, to ensure loan contract packets meet bank and regulatory requirements for funding. This process includes obtaining required documentation for internal and external client base to process new Indirect loans, while providing superior service to internal customers and dealer partners. Responsible for the loan booking process on the core.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities



  • Responsible for understanding Indirect loan contracts for processing, funding, and boarding on core system.
  • Works closely with Underwriters and dealer personnel in completing loans with correct and accurate information, while ensuring regulatory and bank compliance.
  • Requires a service driven mindset, attention to detail and a high level of speed and accuracy. Reviews stipulations on loans are fulfilled, such as Proof of Residency, proof of paid collection, etc. Perform complete verification to ensure all closing documents are properly executed and collected from all parties associated with the closing transaction prior to disbursing loan proceeds.
  • File and organize all incoming and outgoing contract packets.
  • Ensure that the Indirect Department loan production goals are met by accurately processing, funding, and closing a high volume of Indirect dealer packets in a timely manner.
  • Interact with dealers, external centers of influence, and other support areas of the Bank via telephone and email, to provide superior service.
  • Handle routine inquiries promptly.
  • Sends completed package to Loan Servicing for review after funding is completed.
  • Continual mindfulness of process improvement opportunities.
  • Perform other duties and assist with special projects for the bank as assigned.


Experience and Education



  • 1-2 years of banking and/or office experience preferred
  • Origenate and Jack Henry experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • The ability to effectively work both independently as a contributor and collaboratively in a team is required.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written); the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn the core banking system and maintain working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized while focusing on work quality.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Knowledge of bank organizational structure, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Desire to provide excellent client service with a consultative approach.
