SUMMARY: The CAD Drafter is responsible for providing support to the fabrication department by preparing product layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams of architectural and custom metal projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Uses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD 2020) equipment and software to develop designs.
- Creates and revises fabrication drawings.
- Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimensions, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
- Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of products.
- Draws finished designs from sketches.
- Sets up and maintains an organized file system for production drawings.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree
- 2+ years of relevant/technical work experience OR
- An additional 2 years of large-scale program management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years CAD Drafter experience
- Aviation experience
OTHER:
