We are hiring an Operations Project Manager, Americas to develop, lead, and execute strategic projects across Steelcase.

Who You Are:
You are a strategic and results-driven project manager with proven experience in managing projects from planning through execution, while effectively coordinating budgets, managing risk, and organizing cross-functional teams. With exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you build strong relationships across all levels of the business and consistently drive resolution and results in dynamic environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' project management experience.
  • Project Mgt Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Mgt Institute (PMI) highly preferred.
  • Energetic and empathetic approach to achieving results through others.
  • Proficient in technology applications such as Powerpoint, Excel, and project planning software such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
  • Bachelors Degree required, in a project management or organizational behavior related field preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • You will be a member of a Global Project Management Office responsible for successfully implementing a portfolio of strategic change-the-business projects with a focus on margin and reliability improvement for Operations.
  • Responsible for leading initiation through execution of large strategic in nature Ops based projects with high degree of cross-functionality and risk.
  • Compiles, analyzes and communicates detailed project objectives in terms of deliverables and performance and leads the team to success.
  • Acts as key partner with the project sponsor and other business leaders in the business case development of new projects, as well as the support and escalation of project needs through implementation.
  • Facilitates cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop project schedules, monitor project budgets, lead risk identification/management and communications planning, etc. according to PMI best practices.
  • Coordinates the implementation of the master project plan with project team members.
  • Responsible for completion of projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Represents and positively promotes the vision / purpose of Global Operations and Steelcase.
