As an employed Staff Clinician at Teladoc Health, you will be in the centerfold of progressive thinking, empowerment, and cultivating connections. Our Full Time Employed clinicians provide evidence-based treatment via telephone or video. Teamwork is especially important to us at Teladoc Health, and each clinician works with a practice manager, clinical director, and has access to resources and support. Must be able to work in an unsupervised capacity.

Summary of Position

Working as part of a care team, the Staff Psychiatrist provides best in class virtual patient care via video and telephonic appointments. This role will contribute to shaping the evolution of virtual psychiatric care as an industry standard to make psychiatric care accessible, affordable and effective for all.

We're currently looking for a full-time board-certified Psychiatrists licensed in one of the following states: California, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, Arkansas to join our growing team of clinicians providing high-quality, compassionate care through telemedicine.

What You'll Do:

    • Work with a healthcare team to provide patients with exceptional outpatient psychiatric services virtually via video and phone communication channels, within the standard of care for telehealth psychiatric patients.

    • Order and follow up on indicated laboratory tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate.

    • Be accessible to the Care Team to solve problems and keep the entire panel well cared for in a timely manner.

    • Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.

    • Prescribe psychopharmaceuticals and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented psychiatric conditions, including discussing potential side effects and risks associated with allergies, interactions with other medications and/or health conditions as appropriate.

    • Consistently meet or exceed clinical quality and patient care standards, including adhering to department policies, procedures, and objectives.

    • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.

    • Maintain accurate, detailed and timely completion of medical records.

    • Demonstrate familiarity with the full range of Teladoc Health services including medical second opinion, treatment decision support, virtual primary care, tele-dermatology and other service offerings.

    • Support the Medical Director and product team in the development of new products and services, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D. O. degree from an accredited United States medical school or international medical school with equivalent training
  • Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution in General Psychiatry
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in psychiatry
  • Current State Physician License in one of the following states: California, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, Arkansas
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration

The base salary for this position is $250,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
