Responsibilities

  • The Patient Care Technician III (PCT III) is a highly skilled healthcare professional responsible for providing advanced patient care under the supervision of nurses and medical staff.
  • This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with medical procedures, obtains and records patients' vital signs, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
  • Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.
  • Enrolled in final year of nursing program or PCT will be trained and required to show competence in these skills while on the unit.
  • New hires will have 90 days to get these skills checked off.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

  • Demonstrated competency in Phlebotomy
