Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Manager for the 24 bed Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU)/ Stepdown. The Manager will supervise and manage a 24-hour operations.

Shift: Days

Manager, Nursing Unit is responsible and accountable for the daily operations. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.

Experience:

1 Year Management

3 years Acute Care

License and Certification

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Education

  • RN-Bachelor's Degree, or
  • RN-Master's Degree

Unit Description: The Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center IMCU is a 24-bed medical-surgical/ cardiac stepdown unit. Common diagnosis include, Sepsis, CVA, COPD, CHF, RDS, GI bleeds, pancreatitis, renal failure, liver failure, multiple organ failures, and post operative patients requiring more intense care. The Unit Leadership Team consists of Manager, Team Coordinator and Unit Coordinator

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$87,443.20-$145,745.60. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
