Title:Assistant Professor of Management Division: Provost's Office Department: Romain College of Business FLSA Status:Exempt Salary Range:Annual Salary EEO Job Group:2 C5 Position Summary The University of Southern Indiana's Management and Information Sciences Department, housed in the Romain College of Business, is excited to invite applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management to begin Spring or Fall 2026. Duties/Responsibilities The successful candidate will engage in dynamic teaching, quality research, and service. The standard teaching load for a tenure-track faculty member in the Romain College is three courses per semester, with possible opportunities for additional teaching in the summer, if desired. The teaching load may include a variety of courses, ranging from lower-division courses such as Introduction to Business and Survey of Management to upper-level major-specific courses in leadership, human resources, or other areas fitting the successful candidate's expertise and departmental needs. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of scholarship leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals and engage in service to the college, university, and beyond. Required Knowledge and Skills Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Management from an AACSB accredited school. Doctoral candidates will be considered if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2026, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2027. Additionally, candidates must be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) according to Romain College qualifications standards. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to effective teaching and student success. About the College The Romain College of Business is dual accredited by the AACSB for business and accounting and plays an important role in the economic and social development of the region. The College currently enrolls approximately 1,100 undergraduate business majors across eight different programs and more than 1,000 MBA students across multiple concentrations. The College also operates several state-of-the-art labs providing faculty access to high quality resources for teaching and research. These labs include the Biometrics Discovery Lab, the Judith A. and Robert E. Griffin Experimental Economics Laboratory, and the Textual Analytics and Publishing Lab. About the Department The Department of Management and Information Sciences, one of three departments in the Romain College, houses programs in Management, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, and Computer Science. Management faculty lead the Management major, three certificates (Human Resource Management, Innovation Management, and Supply Chain Management), and two minors (Management and Human Resource Management), as well as providing key support for the Business Administration major and MBA.
