Production Supervisor, Aerospace Manufacturing

As a Production Supervisor at our Huntsville, Alabama facility you will help produce advanced aerospace transparencies and coatings used in military and commercial aviation around the world. This site operates 24 hours a day, supporting a variety of global aerospace customers on safety, innovation, and quality. You will operate with a required weekend coverage once per month. Shift hours will be between 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM and 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, based on operational needs. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will lead a team in achieving safety, quality, and performance targets while creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional area supervisors and managers to meet production goals and ensure on-time delivery to our aerospace customers.

• Directly manage hourly production employees, managing performance and coaching to guide team success.

• Identify and eliminate waste in all production processes by applying lean manufacturing principles.

• Maintain daily production schedules while monitoring workflow and resolving issues in real time.

• Maintain safe operations and a clean work environment by enforcing safety policies and ensuring use and maintenance of equipment.

• Support materials planning by maintaining accurate inventory levels of supplies and tools.

• Use SPC (Statistical Process Control) and other data-driven methods to improve product quality and process efficiency.

• Be the liaison with support teams (Quality, Maintenance, Planning) to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership or supervisory role.

• At least 3 years of experience managing people, including coaching, performance management, and team development.

• Prior experience in a 24/7 production environment or aerospace manufacturing.

• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
