As a market leader with a mature, high-performing product line, we're expanding in Connersville and seeking a Product Manager ready to build on this legacy and shape its next chapter. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to drive key initiatives forward. At Ingersoll Rand, Product Management is a respected function-equipped with the authority and backing to deliver real change in a dynamic environment where expectations are high and results matter. In this role, you'll help lead strategy, development, and management of our Industrial Blowers and Vacuum Truck product lines within the Process Flow Technologies portfolio-including iconic brands like Roots, Hibon, and Fruitland. You'll focus on driving growth and improving margins, with the potential to manage and develop product specialists. Success requires clear communication, a sharp understanding of market dynamics, and strong collaboration across teams-sales, distribution, customer care, operations, procurement, and engineering-to turn product vision into reality.

Responsibilities:


  • Strategic:
    Develops, recommends, and implements strategic action plans for growth and profitability. Creates long and short-range strategic programs and marketing plans that identifies new market segments, growth opportunity, technologies, and creates new program development business plans that support overall strategic goals.


  • Product
    : Has strong product knowledge and understanding of how products function in their applications. Understand key advantages of products or programs and how these benefit the customer. Maintains continuous surveillance, evaluation and files of competitive products including function, performance, pricing, and marketing techniques through interaction with sales, end users, and other sources.


  • Operational:
    Works within a cross functional team in the specification, development, and commercialization of innovative products, services or programs. Ensure the programs are launching into the market and the commercial and operational plans support the expected outcomes. Provides input on forecast, adoption of plans and financial performance monthly to the manufacturing plants.


  • Sales Collateral:
    Develop and implementation of promotional programs, literature, sales aids, sales training programs and advertising requirements for specific product lines. Interface with the Demand Generation team on setting campaign and tradeshow strategies for the various brands.


  • Training:
    Develop and implement value proposition for product line and creates and maintains training programs for outside sales, customer care, customers and distribution partners.


  • Communication/Reporting:
    Develop presentations, reports and metrics on the overall performance and profitability of product programs and effectively presents and communicates this information to management. Ownership of financials including but not limited to orders, revenue, margin, and price realization.


  • Talent Development:
    Manages and develops Product Specialists that support the growth initiatives and functions listed above.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering (or international equivalent Familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • 5-10 years of Product Management, Marketing, Program Management, or Applications/ Proposal Engineering experience



Core Competencies:


  • Excellent communication, program development and analytical skills required, with an emphasis on attention to detail. Clear and concise communicator (both oral and written)

  • The candidate should be self-motivated and equipped to work on multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously. Ability to resolve conflict, to apply critical thinking to solve problems and to escalate when needed

  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization as well as distributors and customers is critical to success in this position.

  • In addition to the above, success in this position is determined by the drive and ability to execute day-to-day tasks, programs, projects, along with strategic big-picture planning.



Preferences:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Office with strong analytical skills.

  • Work experience in SAP preferred.

  • Strong acumen in financial metrics and their strategic implications, enabling data-driven decision-making.

  • Understands the commercial aspect when interfacing with customers to deliver a solution to meet their needs



Travel and Work Arrangements


  • This position is based in Connersville, Indiana, with 10% travel.

  • US Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident
