Device Scheduler - Cardiology

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager of Cardiology, the Device Scheduler is responsible for scheduling transmissions and office checks. They are involved in assembling and coordinating the information, people, materials, equipment, along with all the other necessary resources to get the job done.

Job Relationships
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and has zero direct reports.

Principal Responsibilities

• Make schedules for transmissions.
• Call and schedule patients for office checks, at clinic and in outreach clinics.
• Help patients setup their monitors and troubleshoot issues with sending transmissions.
• Check companies' sites for transmissions due.
• Coordinate with patients and company reps for device checks at Springfield Clinic and outreach clinics.
• Triage calls for nurse and have patient send download or give appointment to assign for device issues as warranted.
• Coordinate device checks and other appointments to meet patient needs.
• Scan/troubleshoot downloads for significant device issues and pass on to nurse or doctor for evaluation (battery depletion, ICD shocks, possible load fracture/issue, etc.).
• Handles all of the billing for in office device checks, outreach device checks, and all remote device checks.

Education/Experience

• High School graduate or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of previous clerical experience is required.
• At least one (1) year of experience using computers in a medical setting etiquette is required.

Working Environment

• This job operates in a professional office environment.
• Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
