Job Description An organization is experiencing challenges with a recent point-of-sale (POS) system upgrade and suspects that wireless network coverage may be contributing to the issue. To address this, the IT team is seeking support for a comprehensive network asset inventory and wireless heat mapping project. This is a 3-4 month onsite position. The responsibilities and qualifications are outlined below. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Scout and map the entirety of the wireless infrastructure across the facility. * Document an inventory of all network-connected devices, including product type, model, function, vendor, and location. * Create a repository of images depicting the technologies deployed throughout the site. * Review existing network diagrams and define IP schemes, configuration protocols, and connectivity details. * Identify and associate devices and applications with the various vendor technologies in use (e.g., POS systems, gateways, etc.). * Support the broader goals of the Information Services team by performing other essential duties as assigned.
