V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Systems Engineering, Integration & Testing (SEIT) Sensor Engineer to join our team! Job Description: At Vertex Company, we believe that Public Safety personnel should have the best available communications, data, and technology to support them each day in their jobs. We do this by providing integrated security to Public Safety professionals worldwide. Vertex Company is seeking a multi-disciplined Sensor Engineer to support the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Perimeter Intrusion and Detection System (PIDS) deployed at the metro NY airports. The PIDS Sensor Engineer works as part of a New York/New Jersey based System Engineering and Maintenance team that designs, builds, integrates, tests, maintains, and supports this 24 * 7 operational surveillance system. This position will interface with many areas of the operational system including computing infrastructure, networks and command and control applications. The selected candidate should be self-starting and inquisitive with good written and verbal communication skills and thrive in the challenges of working in an operational environment. The candidate must live in the New York City / Northern New Jersey metro area and be able to work from our offices at either the Newark, LaGuardia or JFK airports. Required Skills: Hands on experience with, and a working knowledge of the following areas:
