Essential Job Duties |
We are seeking a motivated and reliable intern to assist with ongoing plant breeding research, focusing on asexually propagated crops such as blueberries. This is a hands-on opportunity designed to provide practical experience in both applied and basic plant breeding techniques, as well as professional development in laboratory and fieldwork settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in the greenhouse, laboratory, and on the farm, including under high summer temperatures.
- Learn and assist with the propagation and maintenance of blueberry plants.
- Support graduate students with blueberry fruit quality, molecular biology analysis, and related tasks.
- Help organize and maintain a clean, efficient laboratory environment.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a research team.
