SAP SD EDI Functional Lead

Mannington Mills is looking for an experienced SD functional lead with EDI in ECC 6 and S4Hana. This role requires expertise in all aspects of SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) modules and EDI along with integration points with Material Management (MM), Logistics Execution (LE), and Financial Accounting (FI).

This role shares equal responsibility between SAP SD (50%) and EDI (50%).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
   
   
   
   • Collaborate with business users to understand SD and EDI requirements.
   • Analyze business processes and identify areas where SD and EDI can improve efficiency and accuracy.
   • Document functional specifications and process flows for SD and EDI systems.
   • Prepare mapping specifications for EDI.
   
   
   
   
2. EDI
   
   
   
   • Ability to support EDI transactions including 850, 855, 810, 856, 860, 870, 812, 820, ,824, 864, 846, 180, 997.
   • Work with Big box stores, distributors, carriers and retailers.
   • Excellent knowledge of IDOCs, X12, and middleware technology like BTP Integration Suite.
   
   
   
   
3. System Configuration and Implementation:
   
   
   
   • Design and Configure SAP Sales and Distribution modules to meet business requirements.
   • Set up organizational structures, master data, pricing, billing, output determination, text and incompletion log configurations in SAP.
   • Configure sales org organization, sales order type, pricing and billing settings.
   • Implement sales and distribution processes including quote management, contract management, order entry, pricing, and invoicing SAP SD.
   
   
   
   
4. Integration with Other Modules:
   
   
   
   • Work closely with other SAP modules such as SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP IM (Inventory management) PP (Production Planning), APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) LE (Logistics) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
   • Ensure that sales order transactions are accurately reflected in related modules such as planning and sales.
   
   
   
   
5. User Training and Support:
   
   
   
   • Provide end-user training on SAP SD functionality, including processing an order all the way through billing.
   • Offer ongoing support for end-users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve SAP-related problems.
   • Create and maintain user manuals, training materials, and system documentation.
   
   
   
   
6. Testing and Go-Live Support:
   
   
   
   • Develop and execute test data and plans to validate SAP SD and EDI configurations.
   • Perform integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure that all business processes are working as expected.
   • Support the Go-Live process and help ensure the system is fully operational post-implementation.
   
   
   
   
7. Continuous Improvement:
   
   
   
   • Suggest improvements for optimizing order to cash processes and EDI using SAP functionalities.
   • Stay up to date with new SAP features, releases, and best practices in the SD and EDI areas.
   • Participate in system upgrades and enhance system capabilities as needed.
   
   
   
   
8. Reporting and Analysis:
   
   
   
   • Design and configure reports for open order and sales reports.
   • Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure proper stock management.
   • Provide analysis and insights based on sales order data to aid decision-making.
   • Follow and debug ABAP programs as needed to resolve issues
   
   
   
   

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is typically required.
• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Proven experience working with SAP SD and EDI in ECC6 and S4Hana, with at least 5-7 years in a functional consultant role.
  • Experience with integration of SAP with other modules such as WM, IM, or PP. In addition to EDI integration of Order to Cash process.
  
  
  
  
• SAP Certification: SAP certification in SD is desirable but not mandatory.
• Technical Skills:
  
  
  
  • Strong understanding of SAP SD functionalities such as order entry, pricing, delivery process, invoicing and EDI.
  • Knowledge of SAP user interfaces, EDI and reporting tools.
  
  
  
  
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and process issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and provide training to end-users.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with other SAP modules like SAP SD, MM, or LE.
• Knowledgeable in ERP package SAP ECC 6.0
• Knowledge in Sapscript and Smartforms
• Understanding of SAP Mill solutions
• Ability to understand business processes and customer requirements
• Ability to work independently and provide solution in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable with ShipERP software is a plus but not a requirement
