More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for a Controls Sales Specialist - Midwest, preferably based in Chicago, IL, with Signify.

Take the lead in increasing sales of our controls and connected lighting solutions. This role is focused on selling controls and connected lighting projects and generating demand through building strong customer relationships to grow our business in the Midwest region.

  • Sell Controls Solutions:increase sales by understanding customer needs and matching them with Signify's advanced controls technologies, including wired, wireless, and connected systems.

  • Drive pipeline growth: for controls and connected lighting projects by identifying and developing new opportunities with agents, specifiers, influencers, and customers, through leveraging strengthened and built relationships with key customers, specifiers, and ecosystem partners in close collaboration with internal account, marketing, and product teams.

  • Key Projects:identify and secure strategic, high-priority projects, especially those involving connected systems and services.

  • Champion Genlyte Controls:act in a sales engineer capacity for Genlyte controls, driving adoption, providing feedback on improvements, and enabling growth in the market.

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in controls sales or project delivery, or 5+ years of experience in building automation, intelligent building or other related fields

  • Technical Knowledge:strong understanding of wired and wireless controls technologies and their integrations, with the ability to position and upsell their benefits to customers to increase sustainable and growing hardware and services revenue.

  • Demand Generation Skills:proven ability to identify and foster opportunities, build customer relationships, and convert leads into sales.

  • Strategic Thinking:experience in developing business plans, helping shape internal strategy, promoting market growth, and working with influencers/specifiers to create demand.

  • Communication:effective presenter with the ability to simplify complex concepts and a creative problem-solver who can align strategies with growth targets. Ability to internally communicate market and customer feedback on trends, competition, and product needs.

  • Able to travel up to 50%.

  • Salary:$92,000 - 134,860 based on experience

  • Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 10%
