Ability to assist with training of assigned personnel, take appropriate actions in all situations under the guidance of the Manager/Director. Serves as a diplomat for Respiratory Therapy at Covenant Health System and directly or indirectly affects change within the respiratory department. He/She will encourage competent care, develop individualized intervention, and enhance respiratory therapy skills. Able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, family members, and other disciplines. Ability to assess/reassess others for annual evaluations. Responsible for performing a variety of therapeutic, diagnostic Respiratory Care procedures & the Airway Management Program. Responsible for meeting CHS, JCAHO, and OSHA established policies and standards. Coordinates student activities assuring student competency. Minimal supervision required.
