DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will take on the essential responsibility of managing timekeeping for the county office staff, which includes accurately entering payroll data, investigating any discrepancies related to time records, and resolving payroll-related issues efficiently. Additionally, you will provide support as a backup for the front desk receptionist, ensuring that all clerical tasks are handled promptly and effectively as required. This position demands a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask, as you will be integral to maintaining smooth operations within the office while also assisting with various administrative duties as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Work hours will vary based on seasonal operational need, Overtime, travel, and shift-work may be required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:
  • Requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
