Burns is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced Director of Aviation, East Region.

Summary:

The Regional Director leads business development and operational activities and strategies within the region to achieve sales and revenue goals. Leads and manages project teams to achieve established goals for successful projects and outcomes. Build the capabilities of the region by recruiting talented and goal oriented associates, and providing in-depth training and mentoring. Facilitate a positive communication link between corporate and regional office associates. Supervise the general administration duties of the regional office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  Provide direction of the day-to-day operations of the region, implementing plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives and insure profitability.

  Establish and implement regional policies, procedures, and organization structure within the boundaries established by the senior management team and corporate policy.

  
  
• 
  

  Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the company.

  Plan, staff and supervise all regional activities, including personnel administration, performance reviews, defining functions, responsibilities, and the like.

  Provide guidance and direction to subordinate project managers in identifying potential clients and desired scope of projects.

  Maintain an effective business development program, securing profitable work on a routine basis. Providing adequate backlog for staff.

  Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate positive relationships and communication.

  Maintain positive financial posture for assigned regional work and monitor cost analysis activities on a routine basis.

  Manage financial aspects of region's work activities through the Director of Finance.

  Responsible for all aspects of the firm's services on projects assigned to region.

  Participates in regional networking function to development business relationship and build

  Supervises and manages Project Managers and/or engineering staff within the region not assigned to a specific team. Reviews and approves weekly time sheets. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these individuals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's (B.S.) degree from an accredited University or college or equivalent education and experience.
• 20 plus years of experience in the Aviation sector
• Business Development experience
• Relationships with airports throughout TX including HAS, DFW, AUS, SAT airport
