Position Summary |
This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator for the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program (
CHAAMP), situated within the
UNC School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will assist the PI with two studies, including the Life Experiences and Emotion Development (
LEED) Study and the Sidekick Study.
The
LEED study investigates the role of early childhood adversity on the emergence of self-injurious thoughts and behaviors among children in the 5-7 age range. This is a longitudinal study that involves in-home data collection, daily diary surveys, and remote follow-up visits. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will assist with data collection efforts and other administrative tasks along with other
LEED staff. This is a study in partnership with
RTI International.
The Sidekick study is developing a digital, just-in-time adaptive intervention (
JITAI) for adolescent depression. This project will leverage smartwatch and smartphone data to target improvements in sleep and physical activity. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will assist with coordinating research activities across
UNC, the University of Washington, and
RTI International. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Must be a licensed driver and have access to a vehicle to conduct home visits in the Triangle area for data collection purposes. Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the state's standard mileage reimbursement rate. Must also have the ability to occasionally work early evening hours and occasionally up to 4 weekend days per month to facilitate home visits for data collection purposes. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Knowledge of psychology, social work, public health, biology, neuroscience, or a related field. |
