The SXU Mathematics Department is seeking full-time faculty to teach developmental math, introductory (100-level) general education math courses, and/or elementary math education courses.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Teaching undergraduate math courses
- Prepare syllabi and course materials, use Canvas to post course materials, activities, grades, and communicate with students in a timely manner.
- Instructors are expected to demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching with a focus on active learning, provide support and guidance to students.
- Cooperate with Dean, Division Director, Department chair, and other math faculty to assure quality and consistency across courses and programs.
- Participate in required University and College activities and trainings.
- Participation in assessment of general education mathematics courses.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mathematics or a Master's Degree with at least 18 credit hours in Mathematics courses at the graduate level is required. PhD in mathematics or math education is preferred. Experience teaching at the college level. Conducting courses using various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, hybrid, or online is desirable.
