All we need is you. The opportunity Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to serve as a Deborah L. Coffin Women's Center Associate. The mission of the center is to advance equity with a focus on gender and sexual orientation. The center brings the SNHU community together to explore issues, create connections, and promote mutual understanding. In this role, Center Associate's will engage with students from diverse backgrounds, many of whom will have an interest in learning about gender and sexuality. This student leader will gain meaningful experience in event planning, peer engagement, digital communication, and administrative operations while developing essential skills aligned with the NACE Career Readiness Competencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
- Design and implement mission-aligned programs that address topics such as gender equity, identity, and social justice. Collaborate with the Associate Director on signature events including Take Back the Night, Trans Day of Remembrance, International Women's Day Breakfast, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Dare to Speak Monologues, etc.
- NACE Competency: Critical Thinking, Leadership, Teamwork, Equity & Inclusion
- Serve as a peer ambassador at campus events such as the Involvement Fair, Open House, Accepted Student Day, and other marketing and outreach opportunities. Communicate the center's mission and programming with enthusiasm and professionalism.

- Provide inclusive, student-centered customer service by greeting guests, maintaining a professional and welcoming environment, and connecting students to appropriate campus resources.

- Participate in ongoing professional training and reflection to enhance knowledge of gender, identity, and equity, and apply this learning to further the mission of the center.

- Support digital outreach and engagement efforts, which may include managing social media platforms, creating promotional content, and contributing to event marketing or budget tracking tasks.

- Utilize office technologies and tools to support day-to-day operations, including email platforms, shared drives, scheduling software, printing/copying systems, and data entry in spreadsheets or online forms.

- Complete varied administrative and support tasks as assigned which may include research, event errands, budget assistance, liaising with campus partners, and contributing to project logistics.

Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
- Work study part of financial aid package
- Students with work study may be prioritized
- Flexibility, creativity, maturity in judgment and ability to work with a wide array of diverse identities and personalities
- Must be in good conduct standing at the time of hire and throughout employment. Past minor infractions may not disqualify a candidate but a pattern of concerning behavior (repeated violations, bias-related incidents, or violence) may impact employment.
Work Hours:
- Various shifts are available and are typically between the hours of 9:00am and 8:00pm. Individual schedules are developed in tandem with departmental needs and student availability.
- It is expected that all individuals will attend regular staff meetings as part of their assigned hours (scheduled for Tuesdays 3:30-4:45pm)

Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
