The Role

As the Senior Lead Customer Stories Manager, you will collaborate cross-functionally to find customers with a story to tell and then create engaging and inspiring case studies, testimonials, and success stories for our website, social media, and marketing campaigns. You will work closely with our sales, marketing, and customer success teams to identify and interview our customers and craft their stories into powerful marketing assets. You will also evaluate our processes and continually seek improved ways to scale and optimize our customer stories program, tracking customers through their journey to become a story and measuring the program's impact on brand awareness, lead generation, sales, and customer retention.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a pipeline of customer stories candidates, and coordinate the outreach, interview, and approval process
  • Oversee the production and distribution of customer stories across various channels and formats, such as web pages, blog posts, videos, podcasts, ebooks, and infographics
  • Ensure that all customer stories are consistent with our brand voice, tone, and style guidelines, and reflect our value proposition and key messages
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align customer stories with our target personas, buyer journey stages, and campaign goals
  • Analyze and report on the performance and ROI of customer stories, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Research and monitor industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities related to customer stories and storytelling
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects and workstreams to optimize the program process and uncover new efficiencies continually
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in creating and managing customer stories, case studies, or similar content for B2B or technology companies
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with fluid priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in using content management systems, design tools, and analytics platforms. Forward thinker who embraces AI tools and pushes boundaries.
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction and advocacy, and driven by results and impact
  • A problem solver brings solutions and simplification to the organization
  • Data-driven decision making. Consider the cross-functional impact up, down, and across the organization beforehand to anticipate challenges or questions from other groups
  • Lead with curiosity: Ability to analyze information, ask questions, and gain insights that lead to strategic answers.
  • Well-versed in all business functions, including marketing, sales, finance, operations, etc.
  • Enjoys ambiguity and can define a path forward regardless of roadblocks or challenges
  • Executive presence: comfortable interacting, influencing, and lobbying at the VP+ level
  • Client-centric, business partner approach to the management of marketing with expertise in leveraging the function in a large organization for competitive advantage.

Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
