We Are Inspired to Serve. Join us!Provides supervision of service operations for food preparations and service operations to ensure resident enjoyment and satisfaction. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through the implementation of services and creation of opportunities for growth. Emphasis on safe and efficient food preparation and service delivery within multiple levels of care.

Directs daily operations of food service operations for the Care Center/Assisted Living Memory Support Kitchen to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources to perform their duties. Includes supervision of all dining room operations, such as meal service in multiple dining rooms, table bussing and cleaning, as well as providing for special events. Includes supervision of all food preparation operations in cooperation with kitchen team and registered dietician.

Manages inventory, including food, equipment, and dining room supplies. Manages the budget by controlling costs and complying with budget requirements and making adjustments when necessary

Establish and maintain operating and safety standards. Implement process improvements.

Oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, presentation, and safe storage of food.

Ensures that kitchen equipment, storage facilities, and dining room are sanitary, neat, and organized.

Ensures that our residents' dining room experience is one that is welcoming and inviting. That it is an excellent experience for our residents. This is done by ensuring that the dining room clean, neat, and fully stocked.

Ensure compliance with all sanitation guidelines and federal / state regulations. Ensure compliance with both Federal & Minnesota regulations for Long Term Care and Assisted Living dining services.

Conducts meetings and performs follow-ups as needed. Demonstrates effective leadership and management skills. Effectively manages conflict and negotiation.

Required Degree: High school diploma

Preferred Degree: Associates' degree

Certificate(s):

  • Accreditation as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), eligible to enroll in approved CDM course and able to write CDM exam at completion of course work within 18 months of hire.
  • Serve Safe, or able to complete course work and obtain within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of work experience in dining

  • 3+ year of experience leadership is preferred

  • Exposure to dining room operations and kitchen operations is preferred (Experienced in both front of the house and back of the house operations).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to motivate and energize teams.

  • Ability to effectively navigate difficult conversations.

  • Ability to effectively interact with staff and residents in order to positively influence staff retention and resident satisfaction.

  • Effectively assists in sourcing, interviewing, training, onboarding, and retention of staff. Build the bench of qualified staff in order to minimize disruption of service related to fluctuations in staff.

Compensation Pay Range:

$66,300.00 - $82,850.00

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $66,300.00 - $82,850.00. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
