How you'll make an impact:
As a key member of the programmatic Ad Sales team, you will be responsible for handling the commercial relationship for several of SiriusXM's DSP partnerships.

What you'll do:

  • Drive the audio narrative top to bottom from evangelism and education to execution/troubleshooting
  • Establish a programmatic Podcast and Streaming leadership position for SXM media ahead of our competition
  • Maintain SXM's position as top supply partner to critical DSPs
  • Reinforce our position as a partner who drives collaboration and mutual account growth
  • Formalize DSP regional and leadership org charts to ensure maximum coverage and touchpoints
  • Collect market feedback from DSP sales and AM leads to inform product evolution
  • Drive growth and adoption of new audio formats and SXM's broader marketplace initiatives (identity, measurement, etc)
  • Identify DSP education and co-commercialization opportunities
  • Establish a regular cadence with DSP leadership teams to inform Account focus
  • Collaborate with DSP leads on partnership opportunities
  • Report on revenue trends, programmatic market patterns and strategic client needs
  • Identify growth opportunities with key accounts and determine what internal cross functional teams need to consider with product prioritization
  • Connect SXM Media account leads to key DSP account contacts to drive account level cooperation and mutual growth
  • Develop DSP level strategic goals and implementation plans
  • Manage quarterly and annual business reviews with DSP partners to identify key priorities
  • Synthesize macro level DSP and Programmatic client needs to be communicated to internal programmatic stakeholders in relevant working groups
  • Constantly drive the value of prioritizing the SiriusXM relationship to the DSP partner at the highest levels of the organization, to call out the benefits of a mutual product roadmap, to talk about future initiatives and to develop better/faster/cleaner troubleshooting and optimization practices - with an eye toward revenue.
  • Align with National Sales teams and account management teams to ensure DSPs are advocates for SiriusXM Media
  • Quarterback regional DSP relationships (akin to Agency Relations and HC coverage)
  • Runs point with key sales/account management/BD teams in each major market

What you'll Need:

  • 7+ experience in programmatic advertising
  • Passion for owning a room, closing deals, and getting wins
  • Deep knowledge of programmatic sales platforms, including DSPs, SSPs, and ad exchanges.
  • Track record in programmatic advertising sales, operations, or buy-side success, with a history of growing customer relationships.
  • Hands-on experience in programmatic advertising (DSPs, agency trading desks, or publisher sales) or similarly technical media (e.g., ad networks).
  • Familiarity with mobile in-app advertising and audio formats.
  • Strong ability to communicate product benefits tailored to each client's needs.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (estimated less than 25%), if capable.
  • Strong data management and analysis skills, including experience with data visualization
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and sales automation tools.
  • Certifications in major programmatic sales platforms (e.g., Google Marketing Platform, The Trade Desk, Yahoo, Amazon Advertising Platform) is a plus
  • Ability to generate ideas and deliver results across diverse clients, teams, and situations.
  • Creative thinking to help guide product enhancements based on client feedback.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $115,000 to $180,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
