Summary:

The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; they will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information to clients.

Responsibilities:



  • Submit budget request (Plan Proposals) for Marketing programs and ensure adherence to budget policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Managing the payment schedule, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining communication regarding payment status.
  • Verify purchase orders against invoices to ensure goods and services are received and paid for correctly.
  • Reconciling accounts payable ledgers, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Review POP(proof of performance), BOL, Contracts, Term Sheets (MDF and SD) for payment.
  • Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
  • Analyze financial information to produce a forecast of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
  • Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks.
  • Present oral and written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
  • Gather and analyze large sets of data from multiple sources and prepare both quantitative and qualitative analyses of information industries.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of financial and/or accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or related field and a minimum of 3- 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or occupation
  • Experience in managing A/R, A/P, and financial closing process
  • Demonstrated ability to identify areas of process improvement and manage improvement projects until completion
  • Experience in business process review and analysis, including financial and operational analysis and audits
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to accounting.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
