As a Pricing Analyst at Terex based in Watertown, you'll play a pivotal role providing support the implementation of pricing tools, policies, procedures, and supporting price and cost maintenance activities. The Pricing Analyst will report to the Demand Planning Manager.
What you'll do
- Must be able to work under limited supervision and in collaboration with After-market, product management, engineering, field sales organization, key business partners and the senior management team, to improve the profitability of the business by systematically employing key pricing levers.
- Should use his/her innate curiosity to dig into problems, constantly asking the question "how can I make this better? "Creativity and innovative thinking.
- Research current best practices in parts pricing structures and analyze historical pricing data to suggest future pricing improvements
- Work in a state-of-the-art pricing tool
- Assess competitor price positions, draw similarities and differences with current pricing and make recommendations as needed
- Assist in developing executive level presentations related to overall pricing strategy, execution of pricing optimization projects, and pricing program effectiveness
- Collaborate with sales, finance and the commercial team as needed in designing and implementing customer pricing models to maximize revenue effectiveness
- Work with cross functional teams to support the implementation and execution of proposed processes. This will include creating appropriate training and support materials for end users, developing business rules & monitoring their effectiveness as well as maintenance of the solution tools
- Assist in monthly reporting
- Cross train team on systems and processes as needed
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Business Management or related degree
- Minimum 3 years analytic experience, preferably in pricing analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and drive process improvement.
- Leadership skills to bring together cross-functional resource to focus on common objective
- Affinity for working with numbers and data
- Good planning, execution, and project-management skills
- Working knowledge of Excel, specifically complex excel formulas, datasets within Excel, pivot tables etc. (VBA skills are an advantage)
- Working Knowledge of PowerPoint
- Learns quickly when facing new problems, open to change, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
- Attention to detail and accuracy and strong documentation skills
- Demonstrate ability to build relationships with the internal customers (Operations, Sales, Finance, etc.), including remote teams
Nice to haves:
- Basic knowledge of R, Python, VBA, Oracle, SQL or other programming Languages
- Marketing background
- Understanding of relational databases (Oracle, AS400)
- Basic knowledge of data mining techniques
- Other experience: machine learning, dashboarding, SQL scripting
