This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which servesthe telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Job Purpose

Coordinate and ensure QC/QA activities, related processes and procedures comply with the EnerSys Quality Management System and business goals. Interface with all levels of EnerSys, customer, supplier and internal personnel to assure program integrity. This position also has supervisory responsibility for hourly quality employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect, organize, monitor and distribute information related to quality and process improvements.
  • Supervises multiple hourly Quality Inspector employees, across various shifts.
  • Utilize Kronos time management system to schedule employees, monitor attendance and manage labor utilization.
  • Identify / implement continual improvement activities to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Evaluate compliance to the EnerSys Quality Management System, including ISO 2015, and establish and maintain efforts for compliance.
  • Administer the Plant-wide use of QA/QC processes and procedures.
  • Perform process and product audits as required.
  • Perform root cause analysis and the implementation, validation of Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Assist, as required, special project teams formed to evaluate issues within the scope of EnerSys Engineering (CIP's, LEAN activities, Engineering Projects, etc).
  • Coordination and verification of standards at Supplier in accordance with EnerSys requirements
  • Monitor, qualify or disqualify suppliers according to EnerSys standards
  • Monitor and report plant Quality performance
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Lean and Continuous Improvement programs
  • Maintain successful relationships with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and sales department

Additional duties as required including training and assignments in other work areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other pertinent technical field of study.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Engineering and/or Quality responsibilities
  • Knowledge and experience in APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, PPAP and other fundamental Quality tools

Highly proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
