JOB SUMMARY:

Here at PSG, we are a community-based social services organization seeking passionate individuals to join us as the Youth Support Specialist / Truancy Liaison. As the Youth Support Specialist / Truancy Liaison, you will mentor youth and families through individualized treatment plans based on their goals. This position will organize and facilitate structured support groups, such as Girls Circle and Anger Management groups.

This is a great opportunity for both experienced professionals and recent graduates looking to transition into the human services/mental health field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE YOUTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST / TRUANCY LIAISON:



  • Create, implement, and review family treatment plans, safety plans, and crisis plans.
  • Mentor youth and families in accordance with their treatment/safety/crisis plans.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
  • Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to program clientele through individual, family, and group work.
  • Organize and facilitate structured groups as needed.
  • Serve as a community resource for families.
  • Provide case management services.
  • Interviewing and evaluating families to complete the intake process.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.


LOCATION: Oshkosh, WI. Local travel is required to meet with clients within the home or other community spaces throughout Winnebago County and surrounding areas, with mileage reimbursement provided.

SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

SALARY: $19.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
