Job Description We're seeking a skilled Outside Plant (OSP) Technician to support the physical infrastructure that powers enterprise-level data centers. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and documentation of fiber optic networks, underground conduits, and aerial cabling systems. If you have a strong attention to detail, a background in fiber optics or construction, and a passion for infrastructure, this is a great opportunity to grow in a high-impact environment.
What You'll Do * Fiber Infrastructure Maintenance * Inspect, test, and repair fiber optic cables and splice enclosures * Perform routine audits of fiber routes and troubleshoot signal issues * Installation & Upgrades * Install new fiber lines, conduits, and related hardware * Support network expansions and coordinate with contractors for large-scale builds * Site Surveys & Documentation * Conduct field surveys to assess installation feasibility * Update network maps, asset tracking systems, and maintain accurate records * Safety & Compliance * Follow strict safety protocols for confined spaces, heights, and electrical systems * Ensure compliance with local codes and internal standards * Collaboration & Support * Work with internal teams to align on project goals * Provide technical support during outages and maintenance windows What You Bring * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Knowledge of fiber optics and construction practices * Understanding of structured cabling in enterprise environments * Hands-on experience in cabling, construction, or fieldwork * Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and documentation Nice to Have * Experience with fiber splicing, continuity testing, and infrastructure audits * Familiarity with DCIM systems, asset tracking, and ticketing tools * Comfortable working outdoors and in dynamic, large-scale environments Why Apply? * Be part of a team building and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure * Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge fiber optic systems * Opportunities for long-term career growth in network and data center operations * Competitive compensation and exposure to enterprise-level projects *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
