Lecturer - Graduate Course in Lifespan Developmental Psychology

Compensation - $5,000 - $8,000 based on skills and experience

Position Summary

The Department of Psychology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois is seeking to fill a part-time lecturer position for a graduate-level course during the Winter 2025-2026 quarter. Winter quarter runs from 11/10/2025 - 02/13/2026, with a two-week break at the end of December. The winter course meets for 4 hours per week on campus. Upon approval from the Department Chair, a small portion of the course time may be delivered via asynchronous assignments. We are willing to consider a single applicant for all courses or different applicants for each course.

Brief course description is provided below:

• HPSC 754 Lifespan Developmental Psychology (4.5 QH) The course is a basic developmental course covering the entire lifespan from biological, social and cognitive perspectives. Special emphasis will be placed on the unique methodological features of developmental research and the application of developmental research in the clinical setting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach classroom course
• Develop student assignments and exams
• Evaluate student performance on assignments and exams
• Serve as a resource for students
• Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to students
• Perform other related duties as needed

Required Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have both:

• PhD or PsyD in psychology or MS in Counseling
• Experience in course content area
