DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the Cardiovascular Technologist assists Cardiologists, Pulmonologist, and CV Surgeons during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and OR Hybrid Room. Assists the professional nursing staff with the preparation of the patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures; prepares, operates and ensures the proper functioning of equipment associated with the performance of these procedures.

Monitors and records events, including the performance of hemodynamic calculations. Practices radiation safety procedures; participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with patient transportation as needed. Performs quality control procedures as required. Responsibilities also include the requirement to be "on-call" when assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT).

  • Complete certification training from an accredited CVT school.

  • BLS and ACLS at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • PACS, Angiography, Cardiovascular monitoring and ability to achieve competency with auxiliary equipment.

  • One (1) year experience as CVT/RCIS or completion of a CVT certification training from an accredited CVT School or clinical experience, with cardiovascular cath monitoring and auxiliary equipment use for respective positions.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to wear lead apron.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $103,168 - $128,224 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $49.41 - $61.41

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
