About the Job

Description of Specialty (65%)
This position uses operational frameworks and quality assurance standards to support robotics research projects, with a primary focus on coordinating initiatives sponsored by industry partners and government/state agencies. The position identifies funding opportunities and collaborates extensively with faculty, engineers, and technical staff to establish strategic partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and government organizations, driving innovative interdisciplinary robotics initiatives forward.

Supervision (30%)
Responsibilities may also include mentoring or coaching team members with less relevant experience, providing technical and professional guidance, leading robotics research teams,
cross-functional project groups, and collaborative committees. Participates in interviewing and evaluating applicants for research and technical roles. Supports the work of colleagues,
engineers, and research staff to meet project goals.

Miscellaneous (5%)
Provide support as directed and/or necessary to deliver the mission of the Minnesota Robotics Institute.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree in math, engineering, CS, physics, or other related field, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years.

Preferred Qualifications
An MS degree in math, engineering, CS, physics or other related field is preferred, along with at least ten years of pertinent experience in an academic or industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.75 to $30.85 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
