Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The Visiting Researcher will support the Urologic Oncology Department in data management, study recruitment and IRB submissions and projects. The Visiting Researcher will assist in developing protocols and managing study participant data and requirements.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:

  • Perform data analysis and prepare manuscripts. Publish studies in collaboration with the team.
  • Regulatory Submission and IRB/SRB Approval: Manage, organize, and prepare regulatory documentation and submissions, primarily for institutional, multi-institutional, or collaborative industry translational projects. Communicate with IRB/SRB and regulatory staff and investigators.
  • Streamline submissions of data use and material transfer agreements, optimizing collaboration with industry or other institutions for clinical and translational projects.
  • Maintain database. Manage prospective registries for bladder, prostate, and kidney cancer, focusing on nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer. Coordinate with biobank to summarize inventories of specimens for use in translational studies.
  • Recruit participants for the study. Assist in identification, consenting, and enrollment of patients.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • MD or PhD in Medicine or a related field is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective oral and communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience performing data analysis and preparing manuscripts is highly preferred.
