Work will consist of validating an iPSC derived MAPT based model of Frontal Temporal Dementia (FTD) using single cell transcriptomics to identify cell types. The candidate will also work to integrate multiple diverse datasets into a multi-region atlas of the brain using single cell data, both transcriptomics and ATACseq. The candidate will be receiving training in computational biology research skills along with oral and written scientific communication. They will contribute to the overall goals of Dr. Hararis lab, attend all lab and related meetings, present research progress at lab meetings and local or national conferences as appropriate, and contribute to presentation or manuscript preparation for all projects they are involved in. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to check-in once per a month for at least 1 hour, attend Career Development sessions, CZI annual meetings and participate in community discussions via slack channel or another similar platform chosen by the fellows.
