Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking aSystems Administrator with comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in cybersecurity, system administration, and IT support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and operational integrity of IT systems, maintaining compliance with various security frameworks, and providing technical assistance to end-users.



As a System Administrator your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:



  • Cybersecurity & Compliance - Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs); ensure compliance with JSIG, NIST, and PPSM; manage POA&Ms and SCTMs; conduct security inspections; and support RMF processes.
  • Vulnerability Management - Perform ACAS and SCAP vulnerability scans; remediate risks through patching (Ivanti) and STIG application (Evaluate-STIG); and continuously monitor networked and standalone systems.
  • System Administration & Network Operations - Troubleshoot hardware and network issues; support office build planning for compliance and connectivity; deploy systems in SCIF/SAPF environments; maintain IT equipment inventory across multiple sites; perform asset builds with Secure Host Baseline images; manage user accounts and access privileges; and oversee software licensing.
  • Documentation & Processes - Develop and update cybersecurity documentation, including ATOs and SOPs; ensure system compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Help Desk & User Support - Provide technical support through ticketing systems; assist users with troubleshooting, peripherals, MFA setup, and software configuration (e.g., Microsoft Office/Outlook).

Job Requirements

  • MSdegree from an accredited college +1 year of related experience OR
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college + 3years of related experience.
  • Active DoD clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Level 2 certifications (IAM II and or IAT II) under DoD 8570 and DoD 8140 (or ability to obtain within 6 months of filling the position).



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience using Microsoft Windows Products and LINUX.
  • Experience working in IA roles, installing updates and patches, and performing vulnerability scans and assessments.
  • Working knowledge of Cyber/IA compliance standards and associated documentation.

Salary Range - MD:$80,000- $100,000
