What you'll do:

  • Analyze internal data and external market trends to identify opportunities for raw material cost savings, cash flow improvement, and increased security of supply.
  • Leverage sourcing tools such as arbitrage, should cost modeling, and feedstock analysis to deliver actionable insights to the global category teams
  • Identify and monitor supply risks such as natural disasters, geopolitical dynamics, supplier disruptions, etc.
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track the team's progress towards objectives, goals, and measures.
  • Serve as the data steward for Direct Materials. Ensure data integrity by performing regular data cleansing, audits, and validation. Leverage continuous improvement skills to correct errors identified.
  • Stay up to date on the latest market dynamics by utilizing SLB's market intelligence subscriptions from 3rd party providers.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from leadership teams.
  • Prepare presentations and reports on procurement activities and the latest market dynamics for leadership
  • Collaborate regularly with members of our Supply Chain Analytics, Finance, and Commercial teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business analytics, with a strong preference for experience in supply chain or procurement analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets and solve problems through strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex workflows efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas, and macros.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational understanding of procurement and supply chain concepts. Strong financial acumen is a plus.
  • Experience with procurement software and/or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, GEP, Coupa) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of petrochemicals and/or upstream oil & gas is a plus.
